No more milling, extrusion, and die casting. Various fins are manufactured by stamping. They are used in heat sinks, current collectors, EGR-coolers, and oil coolers. One of the advantages of fin stamping of thin sheet metal is to expand surface area in order to increase heat radiation efficiency. Fin materials are aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and iron plated steel sheet. Fin shapes are provided from prototype to mass production.
